Credit unions worldwide offer members from all walks of life much more than financial services. They provide members with the chance to own their own financial institution and help them create opportunities such as starting small businesses, building family homes and educating children.

It has been recognised that if credit unions are to remain sustainable and effective nation building institutions then they need to invest in the further development of their leaders.

To this end, registering persons to attend a development education programme is a key step in propelling credit unions forward. The Caribbean Credit Union Development Education (CaribDE) Programme is a fullimmersion programme with course content in Leadership Development. The curriculum builds on the international cooperative principles and expounds on the legislative & regulatory landscape, good governance practices, current financial climate, and their impact on Caribbean credit unions.

Who should attend? Executives, managers, staff and volunteers of financial (and non‐financial) cooperatives, leagues and other associations, regulators, and persons interested in linking to the cooperative sector.

Why? CaribDE participants improve leadership & communication skills while building knowledge and insight to address the burning issues affecting the viability and growth of credit unions today!

Investment Amount? Registration per person is US$2495 (single room) or US$2,200 (double room) and includes tuition and six (6) nights stay at the allinclusive Barbados’ Beach Club.

CaribDE37 is graciously supported by the Barbados Co-operative & Credit Union League.
